The conclusions
One yardstick only: how much progress that does not disappear the same money buys. Pure cosmetics and pure consumables go to the bottom whatever they cost.
The only clear buys are the three early starter bundles that pay for themselves. One of them returns more currency than you paid once fully claimed — the only item in the game that does.
The one thing worth keeping up long-term is the monthly membership: its Deka ore is worth about 56% of the price at market value, plus 600 silver coins (= 60 dungeon entries). It does not auto-renew.
The biggest trap is pity: the pity count you have built up is wiped when the product rotates out, with no compensation. Inside the last two weeks of a sale period, do not start a new pity run.
