Upgrade Systems

Is the next step worth it? Cost, odds and combat power for every level.

The question is never what +15 costs on its own — it is which use of the same gold buys the most combat power. So this shows gold per point of CP, which is what makes systems comparable.

Green is the best value in this system, orange is where it gets expensive. Scaled against the cheapest step in the same system.

Nexon publishes values, not formulas. Anything without an official source is player-derived and is not labelled official; no Taiwanese unofficial site was used. The engraving-enhancement costs are for a ★6 legendary weapon: the +15 row matches two Taiwanese players' enhancement screens exactly and +1 to +10 are exactly twice a Taiwanese player's measured armour costs; the other stages from +11 marked ⚠ have not yet been checked row by row against a Taiwan screen.

Enchant: the rules Nexon already published

Enchant went live on Taiwan with the 9/9 update. A scroll carries its base effect (one line on armour and accessory scrolls, two on the weapon-only scrolls added 9/30) plus 0–2 extra effects rolled at uniform odds; overwriting with a new scroll always replaces the base effect, but extra effects accumulate, and once you hold three or more you pick two to keep — so re-enchanting can never make an item worse.

Structure
An enchant scroll has a base effect and gets 0–2 extra effects at a fixed chance
Uniform odds
Which extra effect you get, and its value, are set to equal odds; getting 0, 1 or 2 extra effects is also equally likely
Overwrite
Using a scroll replaces whatever enchant the item had with that scroll's effect
Accumulate, then pick
Extra effects keep stacking until you hold at most 2; once you have 3 or more, you choose 2 to keep
Scroll types
Scrolls are specific to weapon / armour / accessory / emblem, and can only enchant gear of the matching type
Dismantling
Dismantling an enchanted item does not give the scroll back
Performance improvement: target gear
When an enchanted item is the TARGET of performance-improvement alchemy, its enchant carries over to the result
Performance improvement: material gear
An item used as MATERIAL in performance improvement loses its enchant
Where to check in game
An item card's [How to obtain] shows its sources; Menu (≡) → Codex → Enchant Scrolls lists every scroll

All 9 rules are verbatim from Taiwan’s official enchant guide (3474928). The rules were published in full; nobody read to the end.

Enchant scrolls: where they come from

The system is open; the stock is not. Two tables below, split by Korea’s own season tag: Season 0 is what Taiwan may already be able to get, Season 1 is not live on Taiwan at all.

Season 0 (Taiwan availability judged per row)

Scroll Slot Base effect Source (KR) Taiwan status
火焰 Weapon Attack +1%; on hit, 35% chance to deal N damage over time: Burn (12 s cooldown; N is not published) Glas Ghaibhleann (Very Hard) guaranteed reward; the scroll selection box in the [Proof of Expedition] shop Taiwan 9/30 update log (3550874): Glas Ghaibhleann Very Hard opens 10/5 06:00; its weekly clear reward is 1 of the 5 weapon-only enchant scrolls (one weekly claim shared with Introductory / Hard). From 10/5 the Cat Captain's 'Glas Ghaibhleann' shop sells a Weapon Enchant Scroll Selection Box (pick 1 of 5) for 120 Proofs of Expedition, no purchase limit.
寒氣 Weapon Attack +1%; on hit, 35% chance to deal N damage over time: Freeze (12 s cooldown; N is not published) Same as Flame Same as Flame

狐狸 Accessory Attack +1% Field bosses (Hard) drop fragments (Peri & Boro, Krama and others); Bari dungeons and Mas Deep drop fragments and scrolls; the abyss-fossil exchange shop Taiwan (9/9 update log 3541097): the weekly subjugation reward of Hard field bosses (from 9/14) includes fox fragments; clearing the Mas deep dungeon gives a scroll or fragments at a set chance; Jasmine's relic exchange sells Enchant Scroll: Fox (★6) outright for 400 Crimson Abyss Fossils (from 9/14)

All seven Season 0 scroll names are Nexon Taiwan's own (fox on 9/9, white rose on 9/16, the five weapon scrolls in the 9/30 update note). The weapon scrolls' base effects are the 9/30 official text; the fox and white-rose base effects and the Korean-source column are transcribed from the KR community codex. How to get each one in Taiwan is in the right-hand column.

[KR Season 1 preview] Nothing in this table is live on Taiwan yet; names are provisional and details are KR community transcriptions.

Fragments — 100 fragments automatically merge into 1 scroll 100 fragments merge into one scroll automatically (reported by several Taiwanese players, matching the KR community codex; Taiwan's official guide does not carry this line). How many fragments each source drops, and at what rate, is published by neither Nexon nor the community, so it is not listed here. The damage-over-time 'N' on the five weapon scrolls is printed as N in both the Taiwanese and the Korean client — the coefficient has never been published.

An older official guide (3474928) prints Korea's launch ranges 12–17 / 17–22 / 62–67; Taiwan has no range. Which effect you get is uniform.

Enchant amplify (Korea)

Enchant amplify: strengthens an enchant's base effect and adds up to 2 extra amplify lines, done at an NPC in Tir Chonaill or Dunbarton; tier 1 costs 50 amplify shards, tier 2 costs 200. The amplify survives a new enchant or performance improvement; dismantling the item, or using it as performance-improvement material, destroys it and refunds nothing.

Base effect Amplify tier 1 Amplify tier 2
Attack +100 +110 +120
Attack +1% +1.1% +1.2%
攻擊力 +170 +187 +204
攻擊力 +1.5% +1.6% +1.7%

Amplify is a Korean-server system; Taiwan does not have it yet. The rules and the values below come from the KR community codex, as of 2025-09-25.
