Silver stops at 100: five deadlines nobody told you about
✍️ Alice・愛麗沙
None of these five are misclicks — they are all what happens when you click nothing. Silver’s auto-regen (+1 every 30 minutes) simply stops once you hold more than 100 — sitting on a surplus doesn’t earn interest, it just means fewer dungeon runs. Night-market event tokens cash out for 100 gold after the event ends, but the same token is worth 400 gold if spent in-event on a gold-bar bundle — hoarding to the end throws away three-quarters of the value. Package points and unactivated season-pass tickets are deleted the moment maintenance or the season ends, with no carryover to the next round. The daily free hunting-ground exploration count vanishes at 06:00 the next day if unused — only the separate weekly bonus pool actually banks. Abandoning a dungeon or hunting ground mid-run only refunds part of the entry silver; a full refund requires leaving immediately. One line covers all five: anything in your account with a cap or a deadline defaults to shrinking, not growing, while you leave it alone.
9/14 update: Two things to add after Taiwan’s 9/9 update log (thread 3541097). The old package points were indeed deleted at 9/9 05:59 along with the Mystic Secret full bundle — but the same log lists a new “package point shop” with 15 items, on sale 2026-09-09 06:00 to 2026-11-25 05:59 (chrysoberyl, epic emblem rune selection box, rune reset prism, weekly demon tribute box, and so on). The rule “points get deleted” is unchanged; it is simply a fresh round of points with a fresh deadline (11/25 05:59), and this article’s advice holds: spend them before then. Also, silver alloy ingots: the 9/9 log says nothing about a recall and instead officially adds the barter “Armis’s smithy: 1 silver alloy ingot for 2 special steel ingots (once per account per day)” — it is an ordinary material now, not something on a clock.
Why these five slip past everyone
A failed enhancement, an overwritten enchant, a failed fashion synthesis — these losses all share one image. You click, a result pops up, and the item is gone right there. It stings, but at least you know exactly what happened.
The five mechanics below share nothing like that. No result screen, no sound effect, no popup. Time passes and a number quietly gets smaller. There is no single moment where you feel “I just made a mistake,” because you didn’t do anything — which is exactly why these are the easiest of all to miss.
| Action | What you lose | Recoverable |
|---|---|---|
| Holding night-market event stamps until the event ends to cash out | After close, each stamp cashes out for 100 gold; spent in-event on gold bars it's worth 400 — hoarding to the end throws away 75% of the value | Recoverable within a deadline |
| Full-bundle "package points" and unactivated season-pass tickets | Package points are deleted at the 9/9 maintenance with no carryover; unactivated pass tickets are destroyed the same way at season end | Recoverable within a deadline |
| Holding more than 100 silver coins (the soft cap) | Auto-regen (+1 every 30 min) stops the moment you're over 100 — sitting on a surplus quietly costs you dungeon runs | No recovery at all |
| The daily free hunting-ground exploration count | Unused ones simply vanish at 06:00 the next day — only the separate weekly pool (max 7) actually banks | No recovery at all |
| Abandoning a dungeon or hunting ground after entering | Full refund of the entry silver only if you leave immediately — abandoning after progress gives a partial refund (hunting grounds prorate by completed side-objectives) | Partially recoverable |
Every row carries an official source or a community-observation flag. "Community" means Nexon has not published that exact rule in writing, though the numbers involved usually still trace to an official source. Can't undo this
Silver: sitting above the cap costs more than overspending
Silver is the most common daily currency, officially regenerating +1 every 30 minutes up to a hard cap of 999. That sounds like “leave it alone and it slowly grows,” but there’s a soft cap hidden inside it: the moment your balance passes 100, that +1-per-30-minutes line simply stops. It only resumes once you spend back down under 100.
So if your habit is to stockpile silver for some bigger use later, here is what actually happens: every hour you sit above 100 is an hour of silver you could have earned and didn’t. Over time, this is the quietest, most easily ignored resource leak in the entire game — there is no notification anywhere telling you that you’re currently wasting it.
The other easy mix-up is abandoning a dungeon or hunting ground partway through. The official rule is specific: only leaving immediately returns the entry silver in full. Once you’ve already made progress and then quit, you only get a partial refund (hunting grounds prorate by completed side-objectives). Finishing the clear and walking out beats abandoning it every time.
Night-market tokens: hoarding to the end leaves a quarter of the value
Event tokens are another resource people misjudge. The natural instinct is “tokens don’t expire, so stockpile them and cash out in one go near the end” — that instinct is correct in most games, and exactly backwards for night-market-style events.
Under the official exchange rules, any tokens left over after the event closes convert to a flat 100 gold each. But spend the same token during the event on a gold-bar bundle and it’s worth 400 gold. Hoarding to the very end means voluntarily giving up three-quarters of the value — the event isn’t shortchanging you, you’re the one choosing the worse exchange path.
The fix is mechanical: spend a token on whatever’s most efficient the moment you get it, instead of waiting for the countdown.
Package points and season tickets: deleted the instant the clock runs out
The Mystic Secret full-bundle’s “package points” are, per official notice, deleted after the 9/9 maintenance with no carryover to the next bundle. Unactivated season-pass tickets meet the same fate — destroyed the instant the season ends.
What both share: they look like savings, but they’re actually resources whose expiry lives entirely behind the scenes, with no countdown shown anywhere in the player-facing UI. You will not get a “you still have unused points” notice the day before maintenance. You’ll just open the game afterward and find the number gone.
Daily exploration count: zeroed at 06:00 the next day
The free daily exploration count at hunting grounds does not bank. The official rule is explicit: whatever’s unused today auto-expires at 06:00 the next day. What does bank is a separate “weekly bonus count,” capped at 7, reset every Monday at 06:00. These two get treated as the same thing constantly, but they’re genuinely different rules — one resets daily, the other weekly.
Our conclusion
None of these five is an operating mistake — all five are the default outcome of doing nothing. Don’t stockpile silver past 100. Spend night-market tokens on whatever’s most efficient the moment you get them. Use package points and season tickets before the deadline. Burn your daily exploration count same-day. Finish a clear rather than abandoning it mid-run. None of this costs a single extra dollar — it just costs one extra glance at the numbers in your account before the deadline hits.
The most falsifiable claim in this piece is the exact moment silver’s regen stops past 100 — official text doesn’t specify “stops at precisely this second,” and this article summarised it as “stops above 100” based on the currently published rule description. A screenshot showing different behaviour (regen still ticking occasionally past 100, or a threshold that isn’t exactly 100) would get this corrected immediately, with the source added.
