Is there a gold mount? No — and the 'pink' one is white

Quick answer

There is no gold mount. Lay out every mount either service has published — six grades (common, advanced, rare, elite, epic, legendary) across four families (horse, deer, unicorn, wolf) — and not one is named gold, and not one has a gold body. Gold appears only on the fittings: bridle, fringe, brow-piece, saddle. The two closest are White Pearl Noblebreed (cream body under dense gold jewellery) and Glory Wing Unicorn (white body, fully gold wings). And the horse Taiwanese players nickname “the pink one” is not pink: the in-game preview shows one white horse and one tan horse, and no mount in this game has ever been pink. Two more things worth knowing before you spend: mounts are not a gacha, so there is no drop rate to look up; and the stat is the saddle, not the mount — all stats +65, and the notice says it applies no matter which mount you have out, including the free one the story gives you.

⚠️ Of the six rows in the grade table, only elite and epic come from an official notice. The other four are a Korean community compilation, trusted because those two rows match the notice item for item.

A player on the Taiwanese board once asked a very small question: “I paid for the pink horse — is it character-bound? My alt only has the original one.”

The answer was one word: “Character.”

Nobody discussed the thread, but it contains the whole subject in four words — pink horse, original horse, character-bound, alt. This piece answers the sentence that question never got to: is there a gold one?

The answer has two layers, and the second is the surprising one. There is no gold one — and there is no pink one either.

The “pink horse” is white

The elite Thoroughbred choice box shows an in-game preview before you pick, model on the right and item text on the left. Side by side:

  • Dandy Curl Thoroughbred — a pure white horse, white mane, gold-brown tack, green caparison.
  • Gentle Curl Thoroughbred — a tan (light bay) horse, dark blue-grey mane and tail, wine-red caparison.

The two tooltips are identical to the digit: move speed +70%, bag weight +60, fast-travel cost -10%, hunting-ground fast-travel cost -20%, charm +1,500 — exactly what the official notice means when it says “the two Thoroughbreds have the same effects and companion stats.”

One is white, one is tan. Neither is pink.

List the colour words the whole line has ever used and the point holds: white, silver, black, grey, brown, stone, sand, snow, raven, frost. This game has never shipped a pink mount.

So what is “the pink horse”? The likeliest reading is that the Chinese word being used covers pale tints as well as pink — which makes it the cream-white one. That part is our inference. The part that is settled: the two options are a white horse and a tan horse, and whichever you pick the numbers are the same. This is one of the few choices in the game you cannot get wrong.

Gold: what was checked, and what came back

  • The Korean official community’s mount-appearance archive — five generations from June 2025 to June 2026, two elite plus two epic each, with a legendary added from the third generation on.
  • The full launch Thoroughbred line — one common, two advanced, two rare, two elite, two epic.
  • The cash-shop-point shop — advanced Brown/Grey Thoroughbred (50 points), rare Raven/Snow Thoroughbred (100 points).

Cross the three lists and the answer is the same. Nothing is named gold, and nothing has a gold body.

The two nearest misses:

  • White Pearl Noblebreed (epic, Korea 2025-09-24) — the image at the top of this page. Cream body, gold discs, gold chains, gold fringe down the chest, legs and croup. It reads as “covered in gold”, not “gold”.
  • Glory Wing Unicorn (elite, Korea 2026-03-25) — white body, wings that are entirely gold, gold mane and tail, deep red tack. The largest area of gold in the whole line, on a body that is still white.

The art rule is consistent: gold goes on the ornament, the body stays a natural coat colour.

This question has no drop rate

People ask about mounts and then reflexively ask “what’s the rate” — there is no published rate for mounts anywhere.

That is not an omission; the system has no room for one. There are exactly two acquisition routes: a choice box (you pick, 100%) and a cumulative purchase count (buy the Nth one, it is given, 100%). No pool, no pity, no misses.

The contrast sits right next to it. Pets are a gacha, so the rates are published — 1% epic, 3% elite, 17% rare, 79% advanced, with pity at 50/100/150/200 pulls. The pet database carries the full table.

Two systems that look alike and sit on the same screen: one is a probability problem, the other is a counting problem. Asking “how many pulls for a mount” has no answer because the question does not apply.

What the grades actually give you

GradeHowMove speedBag weightFast travelHunting-ground travelCharmGold gain
CommonStory reward (free)+35%——-1%+150—
Advanced50 cash-shop points+50%+20—-5%+300—
Rare100 cash-shop points+60%+40-5%-10%+750—
EliteTotal package (notice)+70%+60-10%-20%+1,500—
EpicCumulative 5 (notice)+80%+80-20%-40%+3,000+8%

Two long-running questions fall out of that table at once.

How slow is the free one, really? +35% is half the elite and less than half the epic. The Korean line about it — “after riding an epic, the starter horse feels glacial” — is not a feeling, it is a gap of more than double.

Are the cash-shop-point mounts worth it? Those points accrue at 1% of paid currency spent, so 50 points is the residue of a large amount of spending, not a free mount. Before you have an elite, the rare tier (+60%) is one of the few genuinely useful things to spend that residue on; after you have an elite, they are collection entries.

And a rule hides in the last column. Gold gain +8% starts at epic and every later generation’s epic carries it. Nothing below epic gives gold at all — which means “the mount pays for itself” stops being arguable one grade earlier than most people assume. What changes generation to generation is the one variable line beside it: the armoured Thoroughbred gives gold +8%, the Elder Deer gave class EXP +8% instead.

The stat is the saddle

The Thoroughbred’s saddle gives all stats +65 when worn, and the notice states plainly that this does not depend on which mount is out with you.

So riding the free story horse still gives you the full +65. Only the extra set bonus of +25 requires the matching epic mount.

That inverts the price structure:

  • Saddle: cumulative purchase 2, or 4 package points → all stats +65
  • Epic mount: cumulative purchase 5, or 10 package points → +10pp speed, gold +8%, set +25

The three extra purchases between them buy all stats +25 and gold gain +8%. Whether the gold line pays back depends entirely on your own daily gold income; the +25 can be sized against the cash shop catalogue.

“Buy a mount for the stats” does not hold in this game. “Fill the purchase count to reach the saddle” does. Korea has pushed that logic to its end: a legendary mount at ten cumulative purchases, buying +10pp of move speed and +6,000 charm, with combat effect still zero.

What to do

  • You just want a good-looking horse: one package, open the choice box, take the white one or the tan one on taste. The numbers are identical, so this step cannot be played wrong.
  • You want stats: the target is cumulative purchase 2 — the saddle — and then stop. All stats +65, applied while riding the free horse.
  • You want the epic: that is cumulative 5. Price the difference first: three more purchases for +25 all stats and +8% gold.
  • Free to play: the story horse is +35% and it works. If you have cash-shop points sitting unused and no elite, the 100-point rare mount is one of the few places that residue converts into something you feel.
  • Waiting for gold: there is nothing to wait for. Do not hold budget for an item that has never existed.

What would overturn this

  • “No gold mount” is an exhaustive check of what has been published, not a prediction. A new generation ships every quarter or so; the day a gold one appears, this page changes.
  • “The pink one is the white one” is an inference. What is settled is that the two options are a white horse and a tan horse and that the line has no pink.
  • Only two rows of the grade table come from an official notice. The rest is community compilation and a single in-game screenshot could replace it.
  • White Pearl Noblebreed’s exact stats have never been published, which is why this piece gives its grade and its appearance and no numbers.
