Fourth field boss, still three weekly loots: which to drop

Quick answer

Four bosses, three weekly slaying loots — from this week on you permanently skip one. The official rule is rigid: slaying loot at most 3 times a week, and a fourth kill pays only basic loot. And the patch notes add a line the morning notice did not have: field-boss Hard difficulty is added on 9/14 (Mon) at 06:00 — and Enchant Scroll: Fox fragments sit in Hard’s slaying loot table. So this week (to 9/14 05:59) all four bosses are Normal only, and the slots go to the three bosses the event scores until 9/16; from next week, anyone who can clear Hard puts all three slots on Hard. The new boss is Drochenem (惡息者); its last-hit title is Drochenem Eradicator (惡息者剷除者), three enhancement stats at +60, any difficulty — grab it in passing.

The timetable did not change; the denominator did

Four divided by three does not go.

The official field-boss rules were not touched: bosses appear daily at 12, 18, 20 and 22, entry opens 10 minutes early, and they vanish 30 minutes after appearing. Cloud Wasteland’s Drochenem sits in area 7 and follows the same table.

What changed is the line beneath it, in the same guide:

Slaying loot: the loot obtained on the first kill of each boss per week … at most 3 times per week. After 3, killing another not-yet-killed field boss grants no slaying loot.

Yesterday three bosses, three slots, one each. Today four bosses, three slots. The notice did not change 3 to 4, so one of the four now always pays basic loot only.

Korea hit exactly this in the week of 2025-06-19. The decision tree below is what that week’s community settled on; Taiwan inherits it 447 days later, and an English server will inherit it too.

Which three: enchant first

The enchant system opened the same day, and the first scroll a server can assemble from zero is the accessory Enchant Scroll: Fox (附魔卷軸:狐狸) — base effect Attack +1%. The patch notes print the table its fragments come from:

Field-boss Hard slaying loot: Monster Slaying Proof, mystic dice key box, Enchant Scroll: Fox fragments, gold; special loot by chance: Star Seal, unique-rarity gear, Large Chunk of Meat. Slaying loot is paid on each boss’s first kill of the week. And Hard arrives on 9/14 at 06:00 — this week you will not see that table.

So the tree has two weeks:

  • This week (before 9/14) → all four bosses are Normal only, and the official Normal loot table lists no fragments. Slots go to the event’s three below.
  • From 9/14, Hard clearable → all three slots on Hard, any three bosses; every slaying reward is a fragment chance. 100 fragments auto-combine into a scroll; three slots is three chances a week.
  • From 9/14, Hard not clearable → slots follow the event and title needs; fragments come from the mines and Mas Deep (the enchant order).

Until 9/16, the event decides for you

The “Lords of the Hunting Grounds” event runs to 9/16 05:59 and scores only Peri, Crabbach and Krama — fixed in the 9/2 notice, the new boss absent. Rewards for two kills each, in total: Spirit Wings 250, gold 200,000, rune fragments 1,500, Trace of the Spirit 50, one Enhancement Reburn Catalyst. The event counts “kills”, not “slaying loot”, so a fourth kill still scores. But if you only manage three fights this week, give them to the event’s three and take the new boss next week — the event article lays out all six cells.

The title: one last hit, any difficulty

Drochenem’s kill title, Drochenem Eradicator (惡息者剷除者), requires “the last hit” (the patch notes’ wording, no difficulty named); its equipped effect per Korea’s title table is Smash enhancement +60, Combo enhancement +60, Area enhancement +60.

For scale: an enchant’s extra “Smash enhancement” line rolls 17–22. The title gives three stats at once, each near the top of three enchant lines — but it is an equipped effect, so wearing it occupies the single title slot, one-or-the-other against whatever you wear now.

Whether you can steal a last hit in a public field boss depends on burst. This week is Normal only, the thinnest health bar — exactly the week for the last hit. And from today the cat merchant stands beside the boss campfire on every hunting ground, so spend meow coins on the way out.

The common mistake

“Four bosses = four weekly loots.” No. Three is the official number and it did not move. People assume one more boss means one more loot, then find on Sunday that the fourth paid nothing — that is the rule, not a bug. Korea’s forums had the same “bug report” that week.

What to do now

  • This week: slots to the event’s three; Drochenem only for the last hit and the title.
  • From 9/14 06:00: if Hard is clearable, all three slots on Hard; fragments count from that day.
  • Anyone still wanting the title after 9/14 weighs the difficulty then — Normal has the thinnest bar.

What would overturn this: if a server raises the weekly cap to 4 (guide 3474908 revised), the “drop one” premise vanishes; the official Normal loot table lists no fragments — if the in-game item card’s acquisition list names Normal, the first-week section changes; the three +60s are Korean numbers, and in-game title text wins.
