100 silver banked for update day: spend it on first-clears
✍️ Alice・愛麗沙
If you banked 100: 80 go to the mines’ 8 first-clear cells today, 20 stay. First-clear quests are the only one-time reward in a dungeon: two blocks × two floors × Normal/Hard = 8 cells × 10 silver. Doing them tomorrow does not make them bigger, but not doing them today leaves your silver parked at the 100 line with regeneration stopped — every parked hour is 2 coins evaporated. No double loot (first-clear rewards do not double), no fragment farming (see what 8 runs drop first), no old maps. Leave the 10 compensation silver boxes shut until you are below 90; they only need using before 9/14.
Why “first-clears first”, not “farm first”
Irreversible things first. That is the whole rule.
Dungeon rewards come in two layers: clear rewards (every run) and area quests. The official guide splits area quests again — repeatable quests, complete on clear and repeatable; first-clear quests, clearable once only.
So within the entire dungeon system, only first-clear quests are “miss the order and one reward is gone for good”. Everything else is still there tomorrow, next week, next month.
The first rule of update-day resource decisions is do the irreversible first. First-clears are irreversible; fragment farming, double loot and old maps are all reversible. Korea’s most common regret in the week of 2025-06-19 was “farmed fragments on day one, got to the first-clears on day three” — the rewards themselves did not vanish, but the silver parked at 100 did.
The ledger: 80, 20, 48
Assume you followed the pre-update advice and banked 100:
| Step | Silver | Note |
|---|---|---|
| At opening | 100 | regeneration stopped |
| Block 1 Normal, floors 1 and 2 | −20 → 80 | regeneration restarts |
| Block 1 Hard, floors 1 and 2 | −20 → 60 | |
| Block 2 Normal, floors 1 and 2 | −20 → 40 | |
| Block 2 Hard, floors 1 and 2 | −20 → 20 | all 8 first-clears done |
| Afterwards | 20 + 1 per 30 minutes | roughly 30 more by 06:00 next day |
At ten minutes a run, 8 runs are 80 minutes. In those 80 minutes you drop from 100 to 20 and regeneration restarts — today’s real income is not 48 coins; it is 48 plus the part that is no longer parked at the cap. Banking 100 and then not spending it is the most common update-day waste.
What the remaining 20 are for: today’s weekday dungeon run (10), and any one run you want to try. Holes cost no silver; nothing needs reserving for them.
| Scenario | Silver | Runs it buys | What it means |
|---|---|---|---|
| Auto-regen only (free to play) | 48 per day | 4.8 runs | This is a free player’s dungeon allowance for one day |
| Plus the full membership’s daily grant | 68 per day | 6.8 runs | 42% more than free to play |
| Filling from 0 to the regen-stop line | 100 | 10 runs | Takes 50 hours — a little over two days |
| Sleeping 8 hours while holding the full 100 | −16 | −1.6 runs | While regen is stopped the tap is off, and none of that comes back |
All of it converted from the official numbers in the table above: +1 every 30 min, regen stops at 100, full membership adds 20 a day. The divisor — 10 per run — is a Korean figure that Taiwan has never published, so read the “runs” column as an order of magnitude rather than a count.Gold efficiency
The 10 compensation boxes: open them after the silver drops
The maintenance compensation includes 10 small silver boxes, one coin each, usable until 9/14.
Not now. With 100 in hand, a box’s coin lands on the cap. After the first two mine runs take you below 80, those 10 coins are a genuine extra run. The boxes last five days; the three-mails article lists every date.
Three things not to do today
No double loot. Double loot costs double silver and doubles the clear reward; the first-clear reward is a quest reward and does not double. Switching it on today means paying 10 extra per cell for one clear reward — that is for tomorrow’s farming.
No fragment farming. Accessory enchant fragments do drop in the mines, but the per-run count is unpublished. After the 8 first-clear runs you will have your own number; decide then whether tomorrow’s 48 coins go there.
No old maps. Their first-clears were eaten long ago; going back pays clear rewards only. The old maps will not vanish and neither will the mines’ first-clears — but every hour parked at 100 does, so new maps first.
One thing people mix up
A “first-clear quest” is not a “first-clear reward”. The former is the handful of lines marked one-time in the area-quest panel, which only count if selected; the latter is some content’s first-completion bonus. Before entering the mine, tick the first-clear quest under the quest’s [Challenge] button, or the clear does not count. The official guide’s line about choosing quests through the [Challenge] button means exactly this.
What to do now
- Tick the first-clear quest before entering.
- Normal→Hard, floor 1→2, 8 runs.
- Open the compensation boxes once silver is below 80.
What would overturn this: if the patch notes open Very Hard in the mines, 8 cells become 12 and 80 silver becomes 120, so even a full 100 splits over two days; if a server’s first-clear reward does double under double loot (the official guide does not say so; Korean experience is that it does not), the “no double loot” line needs recomputing.
