Silver alloy's four official lines: Colhen 2-for-1 is back
✍️ Alice・愛麗沙
Four lines, two of them daily. Taiwan’s patch notes (3541097) print every silver alloy barter: Armis’s Blacksmith in Colhen (阿爾米斯的鐵匠鋪), special steel 2 → 1, once per account per day — the line closed on 8/26, back unchanged; Elen’s Metal Workshop in Bangor (艾琳的金屬工坊), special steel 3 → 1, once per character per day; Elen’s other line, alloy steel 30 → 1, is ten times the price and never worth it; Edern’s Blacksmith (艾頓的鐵匠鋪), one bowl of spicy sea bass soup (鱸魚辣魚湯) for 10, once per character per week — needs Cooking Lv.20 and a Lv.4 cooking station, but from today the cat merchant sells sea bass for 20,000 meow coins and Jennifer’s Tavern sells white radish and chilli powder. So 8/26 was not a “bug price” being corrected; it was a later-version material leaking early and being withdrawn. The price today is the same. An English server that receives the Wilderness will receive these four lines together.
The four lines side by side
Four. Two to take, one never to take, one that needs a cook.
Silver alloy was recalled on Taiwan because it was a “later-version material”. The later version arrived on 9/9, and the patch notes print the routes in two tables — one in Colhen, one in Bangor:
| NPC | Give | Get | Uses | Take it? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Armis’s Blacksmith (Colhen) | special steel ingot ×2 | silver alloy ingot ×1 | per account, 1/day | yes, the cheapest |
| Elen’s Metal Workshop (Bangor) | special steel ingot ×3 | silver alloy ingot ×1 | per character, 1/day | yes, stacks with the line above |
| Elen’s Metal Workshop (Bangor) | alloy steel ingot ×30 | silver alloy ingot ×1 | per character, 1/day | no, ten times the price |
| Edern’s Blacksmith (Bangor) | spicy sea bass soup ×1 | silver alloy ingot ×10 | per character, 1/week | if you can cook, the best line of the four |
First, the correction to this morning’s edition: the Colhen line closed on 8/26 was not a bug price, and the real price is not 3 → 1. The Colhen 2 → 1 line is back exactly as it was, with three words added: “per account”. Nexon’s 8/26 wording was “later-version material” — it leaked before its version and was withdrawn; the version arrived and the price is unchanged. The one real difference is the counting unit: one line per account, one per character — so they are not either-or, they add.
| NPC (town) | Give | Get | Cap | Status |

Recomputed from the barter dataset on every build. Of the four ways to get a silver alloy ingot, only the Colhen one was ever live on Taiwan; the other three sit in towns Taiwan has not opened. Full table:Barter
Why 30 → 1 is ten times the price
Put both Elen lines’ inputs in one unit:
- One special steel ingot = Metalworking Lv.3, alloy steel ingot 4 + white copper ore 20 + coal 12, 10 hours.
- So 3 special steel = 12 alloy steel (plus 60 white copper, 36 coal, 30 hours).
- The 30 → 1 line wants 30 alloy steel.
30 against 12: two and a half times the alloy steel, though the 3 → 1 line also eats white copper and coal. Fold those back in and the gap narrows, but 30 → 1 still loses. The barter data marks it “do not trade”; Korean players call it the worst ratio in the game.
Its only reason to exist: you have alloy steel to spare and cannot schedule the 10-hour special steel batches. Nobody is in that position at this stage.
The soup line: one bowl for ten, and every ingredient is buyable today
Edern’s line is once per character per week, 10 ingots a time — more than three days of the two daily lines combined. The gate is Cooking Lv.20 and a Lv.4 cooking station (Lv.4 facilities opened today). Korea’s recipe: sea bass 6, white radish 4, onion 6, bottle of water 5, chilli powder 4, pepper 2.
What blocked this line before was the sea bass — not a fish you catch casually. The patch notes solved it in the same breath: the cat merchant’s pack shop sells sea bass at 20,000 meow coins, 10 per character per week, and from today the cat merchant stands beside the field-boss campfire on every hunting ground. White radish (10,000 gold) and chilli powder (3,000 gold) are at Jennifer’s Tavern (珍妮佛的酒館), 30 per character per week. Six sea bass for 120,000 meow coins cook one bowl, which trades for 10 silver alloy ingots — one of the best uses of meow coins on the server today.
The silver vein: the only source, but not on this chain
Cloud Wasteland area 5, “Five Rocks of Plenty”, is the game’s only silver vein. Put two items with “silver” in the name side by side and it is natural to assume silver ore is processed into silver alloy.
None of the notes’ four lines takes silver ore — they take special steel, alloy steel, or a dish. Silver ore feeds something else in the processing chain, and the in-game catalogue’s acquisition and usage tabs show it once the item exists on a server.
So “mining silver in area 5” and “assembling silver alloy” are separate jobs. Area 5 is worth visiting (the nine-area article); silver alloy’s bottleneck is special steel.
Two a day to start, 44 by the end of the month
One character: Colhen 1 (account) + Bangor 1 (character) = 2 a day. Taiwan’s 9/9 to 9/30 is 22 days: 44. Each additional alt adds 1 a day in Bangor, another 22. A cook adds 30 over three weeks.
Special steel to pay: 2 + 3 = 5 a day. Special steel is one per 10-hour batch, at most 2.4 batches a day — capacity 2.4 a day, and the barters eat 5. The chain’s bottleneck is the processing station, not the barter count, and it is twice as tight as this morning’s arithmetic said. The pre-update stockpile ceiling for the metal chain was 18 over nine days, so anyone who stockpiled can trade three and a half days’ worth immediately. This is where alts matter: the Bangor line counts per character, but special steel processing is account-shared equipment — with alts, feed the Colhen line (2 for 1) first and give Bangor (3 for 1) what remains.
One thing people mix up
“Silver alloy was recalled, so it is useless” — the reverse. It was recalled because it is this version’s material. What it feeds, the Korean data points at Bangor’s gear line (the catalogue added the Attack 1940–2232 tier today), and a server’s catalogue shows it from the day it opens. The special steel refunded by the recall can go straight to Colhen at 2 for 1 — exactly the price it was before 8/26.
What to do now
- Check the mailbox for the refunded special steel.
- Two stops a day: Armis in Colhen 2 → 1 (once per account), Elen in Bangor 3 → 1 (once per character).
- Treat the 30 → 1 line as non-existent.
- Cooking Lv.20: sea bass from the cat merchant, radish and chilli powder from the tavern, one bowl a week for 10.
- Keep Lv.3 metalworking on continuous 10-hour batches — the bottleneck is here.
What would overturn this: the four ratios, counts and counting units are from patch notes 3541097, and in-game wins if it differs; the soup recipe is Korean data and a server’s cookbook wins; if silver ore is listed as a silver alloy input in a server’s catalogue, the fourth section is rewritten.
